September already! The last few months have been busy and productive, but also slightly frustrating as trying to schedule work and openings during the holiday season is always challenging; we now have a very busy three months ahead of us.
However, we have achieved and our tally of completed installations now officially stands at 55, at a had they been paid for value of almost £1.45 million. This is an incredible industry delivery and one that has helped bring moments of sparkle and respite to so many families.
What have we been up to?
As you can see there’s been lots going on and we’re set for another great year. A year where we can all continue to help make a difference in our community.
Ian Morrish
Founder and Managing Director, Together For Cinema CIC
We now have nine installations scheduled for 2025, and this will be our biggest delivery in a year when we achieve it! The installations below are listed in expected ‘Completion Date’ order and the current status is as follows:-
We are hugely grateful to the installers listed above for kindly taking on these installations and I am sure that they will find their journey to making a difference a rewarding one. As we all know, the key to making these installations happen is a good installer and I reckon we have some of the very best listed above. Thanks again to you all.
2026 is already looking very busy! The list below will no doubt change over the coming months, but we would expect to look at another seven installations for 2026.
We are of course in touch with many other venues and have a strong pipeline to call on. However, if you know of any charitable family care venue that could benefit from our offering, please do let me know.
It will soon be renewal time for our valued Charitable Partners and we hope to secure some new ones to help us continue to develop our journey.
Since 2021 our AV industry has been increasingly supportive of Together For Cinema and the positive impact we’re all making in our communities. It is essential that this continues year on year so we appeal to you all to support Together For Cinema CIC and our new venture, www.GivingBack.tech, with a Charitable Partner Grant from your 2026 budget. We can only continue to do what we do with your support.
Over the last 12 months Together For Cinema, in collaboration with the AV industry, has delivered up to, and I hope beyond, expectation. For this delivery to continue into 2026 and beyond we need continued support, increased support and new support funding.
We are more than aware that times are challenging at the moment but if we’re able to secure ‘a little from a lot’, it makes a huge difference. Currently we have 76 Charitable Partners and our target for 2026 is 90. If this happened we would be in good shape, and able to explore other channels to give back.
With the above in mind, and if you’re not already supporting, please can I ask you to consider becoming one of our Charitable Partners. Our current list reads like a ‘Who’s Who’ of our industry and you can see the list of those already committed on our website by clicking here.
With the above in mind the levels at which you, and/or your industry contacts can support are as follows:-

We have some very exciting plans for 2026 and Together For Cinema, and the difference we make to so many lives, can only continue with your support…
For any small Charity or Community Interest Company ‘that little bit extra’ secured by fundraising is important for so many reasons. Of course the financial benefits are obvious but the increased PR, the potential coming together of an industry community and of course the fun factor are all important add-ons to helping make a difference.
To be recognised as a charitable cause to support is so important and I was delighted when Keith Dutch, Managing Director of Peerless-AV, asked if Together For Cinema could be the beneficiary cause for the Peerless-AV Golf Day at Moor Park Golf Club. Over 110 people attended followed by lunch and a presentation about both Together For Cinema and GivingBack.tech.
We’re so grateful to Keith Dutch and his team and with the help of an excellent auction, masterfully managed by Keith himself, it was confirmed that the day had raised over £10,000 for Together For Cinema. A huge effort and one that really does make a difference to us, but also to so many children and their families across the UK. Thank you Peerless-AV.
Fundraising is of course important financially for any good cause, but to have the acknowledgement from a company such as Peerless-AV further confirms that what we’re doing is important and really does get noticed for all the right reasons.
On Sunday 14th September we had the 2025 London to Brighton cycling challenge. With the 2024 ride being so successful we had to do it again and I’m so glad we did!
It was a truly amazing day with all riders completing the 55 miles from Clapham Common to the Brighton Seafront! Sadly with injuries and illness 53 became 45, yet even with conditions worsening throughout the day, there was an incredible feeling of support and togetherness for Team TFC. Days like these are very special and I know that every rider felt the same. As for the monies raised, an incredible £21,000 and counting, and this is so important to our future.
A special mention must go to Ben Davies who cycled from York to London the three days before the race, then ran and rode his way down to Brighton! An amazing effort and single handedly he raised a fabulous amount of money for Together For Cinema.
I can’t thank everyone involved enough, be they riders, support team, donors etc… for helping make this happen. Plans are already being discussed for a ‘challenging challenge’ next year. As soon as we know more I’ll let you know.
To close this section off we were delighted to win one of the five monthly Selco Builders Warehouse Community Heroes Awards. A £1,000 trade card is now in our possession and the great news is they stock acoustic wooden slats so our installers can shop for these to their heart’s content!
As you can tell it’s been a busy and successful time with regards to our fundraising, but I’m pleased that now I can focus on completing the outstanding installations for this year.
“A new website to repurpose AV equipment to good causes. It will connect donors such as manufacturers, distributors, integrators, and corporates with registered charities and CICs seeking second-hand, discontinued, or B-stock equipment.”
Over the Summer there have been some exciting developments with our new website to repurpose excess AV equipment to good causes, the main one being is that the website is almost finished.
The mechanics are done, the branding is completed and we are now in the final stages of the initial copywriting and ‘tweaking’. October 2025 sees the initial test stage with 40 companies from the AV industry being invited to list 10 products each and, once populated, the website link will then be sent to 100 good causes that we know to have a look and see if there’s anything they want!
We will ask both the donors and the beneficiaries to give us their feedback on how easy it is to register, is the messaging clear etc; so these 140 or so companies will be our test partners.
After this test stage there will be a period of further defining the site with a view to launch early in 2026. However, it will take as long as it will take. The most important thing is that we get the website right, enabling donors and beneficiaries to engage in a clear and simple fashion with no misunderstanding.
There is a holding page at www.givingback.tech and we will work hard to get things in shape as soon as we can. This includes working with the likes of CEDIA, AVIXA, the AV User Group, as well as our commercial and residential industry media. Other opportunities will undoubtedly come our way…
Database Development
The work on ensuring our donor and beneficiary base is comprehensive and accurate continues. We can have the best website (and I hope we do!) but if you’re not generating the right interest, you don’t have a solution. For our test phase we need to have enough traction to assess the potential of the site and also the feedback to shape and style the process.
Together For Cinema is a proven positive and well supported cause that has the industry’s support and backing. With the soon to be introduction of GivingBack.tech I am optimistic that we will create a medium that will be equally well supported.
We will look for some Charitable Partners from both the Commercial and Residential AV sectors for GivingBack.tech and this revenue will go straight back into the repurposing programme that GivingBack.tech will be instrumental in.
This is a hugely exciting development in our industry and one that should have been created many years ago. How many perfectly good AV items have sat in offices, warehouses, homes etc and then simply been thrown away? I have no figures to back this up but I can be confident in saying several million pounds. GivingBack.tech is just the start of a structured channel to repurpose, to be more environmentally friendly and, ultimately, for us all to play a more responsible part in our industry.
The next 3-6 months will see more installations in hospices and other deserving venues, and it will see GivngBack.tech go through its test stage to potentially launch in March 2026.
If you’re not already part of our extended community please contact Ian Morrish to find out how you can help.
